I was hired to make a quick video, on the subject of imperfect. I didn’t know what to do or how to put it in an art form that fit the idea at the time.
My great aunt who is 98 years old, was doing a sermon about imperfect and how God uses the person who’s imperfect and make them a great perfect person in people‘s eyes
The thought, idea and imagination started to swirl around my head as my great aunt spoke about imperfect. we are all humans and perfection is what we want at times but coming from a place being imperfect can make you come to a place that’s bigger and better.
Here’s a raw video of a puppet I made and the AR of me doing my Aunt sermon. That day, I was so nervous because this was my first time doing a live lip-synch with a puppet, I thought my imperfections would be my fault of not having this message sent to the people. In a way that I wanted to explore more of my pupppetry.
She talk about how God can use our imperfections and small beginnings to bring Him glory. Just like Jesus, who came from the small town of Nazareth, God can make us big and use us in powerful ways, despite our past or current circumstances.
This video was my first step into the church with my puppetry, and since this video has been out, my puppetry is now in the church.
With me and my disabilities, I think about my imperfections and how I’m imperfect. I understand that I am still coming from a small place but going to bigger places because God is using my ability to bring me to bigger and better places.
