A teaching moment

With my puppetry audience is all ages because touching each of the ace groups is a way to bring community back together. Bringing the village that gen x used to use in the vocabulary and now it’s lost. The tribe that the baby boomers started and it’s forgotten because. It’s not being passed.

As a black puppeteer, my puppetry style is still segregated because they still think that puppetry is for kids. Also majority of the puppetry you see out now in the main stream you see Caucasian people behind it.

Yet you see different styles of puppetry still being produced in different ways. Puppetry is an extended storytelling art that it extend stories. Remember everybody, each puppeteer has a different story and a different style puppetry that they like to use to tell stories. Eat story has a journey to go through in an adventure to learn from and maybe a lesson to learn.

Here is one of my videos where I talk about boundaries

Caption to the video

the importance of maintaining healthy boundaries in our lives. We learn that putting God first then after, our own interests first is crucial. Some battles will not end until we let certain people go. Editing our lives and knowing when to let go of people is an important skill to develop.

The puppetry style that I want to do is to educate while still entertain and to make people smile at the end of the day. Every day is still a learning experience when it comes to this art because I learned something new every day. I think you puppetry, for you have given me another voice to make people happy to entertain them to make them laugh and to teach people how to have another voice.
